: The Director of Physician Practices will demonstrate the knowledge, responsibility and accountability for oversight of Physician Practices assigned. The director is responsible for strategic planning, budget preparation and execution. She/he will provide liaison services to the Medical staff, nursing staff, and other hospital staff, and serve as a change agent and consultant who collaborate with other department leaders and care givers to continually refine the patient care delivery. Responsible for planning and managing the human, material, equipment and fiscal resources for areas of responsibility and accountable for developing action plans to contribute to the organization's ability to carry out its mission and accomplish annual pillar goals.

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Provider Services

SUPERVISES: Titles of direct reports – Practice Manager

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science degree required, Master's degree preferred. Five years of supervisory experience in a physician office practice or hospital setting with progressive leadership required. Leadership skills essential.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrated skills in making decisions with independent judgment and the ability to work effectively with a variety of board, managerial and professional personnel. Must have excellent understanding of Physician Practices in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Must be able to work comfortably with physicians and physician groups.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light to medium carrying up to 50 lbs., straight pulling/pushing, reaching in all directions, stooping, walking long distances, standing, sitting, repetitive motion/finger activity for sustained periods of time, speaking, hearing, moderate phone contact, visual activity; long periods of working on computer

WORKING Environment: A busy, often times stressful, ambulatory facility providing direct patient care, considerable amount of direct patient/customer contact.
