Nutrition Assistant #65029
Distributes menus to patients, reads menus to patients, enters menu selections into computer; answers telephone, reads and documents refrigerator/freezer temperatures, conducts meal rounds for patient satisfaction information and other duties as assigned.
Ability to learn and understand the hospital computer system. Ability to learn and understand basic medical terminology in order to transcribe diet orders accurately. Interest and knowledge in providing excellent foodservice to patients. Good clerical and telephone skills; reads and writes English at 12th grade level. Ability to manage time and work duties to enhance job performance. Understands and follows rules of confidentiality in patient contact. Good interpersonal skills.
