Responsible for financial oversight of Cardiovascular Service Line, (invasive and non-invasive cardiology) NECA and Cardiothoracic Surgery of Maine .

 • Monitors staff for efficiency and productivity. Holds staff to standards required.

 • 100% documented evidence of attendance of mandatory meetings.

 • Responsible to oversee collection of all records requested for medical reviews.

 • Oversees the research of all charge questions for EMMC Patient Accounts and forwards relevant information.

 • Reviews processes of pharmacy charges for accuracy and adjusts as needed.

 • Supervises all patient services and coding staff for CCOM MO/RO

 • Holds staff accountable for outcomes of work.

 • Refers potentially sensitive or public relations concerns.

 • Assist with orientating and training/cross-training of new and established employees as assigned.

 • Competently covers positions on emergent basis.

 • Coordinates and oversees all billing activity for CCOM- outpatient, inpatient, and outside clinics. 

• 100% compliance of: iCARE, Employee Updates, and any other in-services/meetings and training as assigned. 

• Keeps charge master updated.

 • Monitors and adjusts systems to assure all updates to charges/codes are implemented. 

 • Maintains current understanding and ability to utilize current CPT billing standards utilized in oncology and radiation.

 • Monitors staff overtime and works with employees to minimize.

 • Monitors preauthorization needs and assures these are complete for patient's services.

 • Facilitator for CCOM and Internal and External audits. 

• Monitors medication assistance programs to maximize usage and decrease CCOM liability

 • Updates all price files to keep with current technology/billing requirements.

 • Is visible at community events to represent the program and meet the department needs.

Other information:

Bachelors Business degree or equivalent required or completed within first year . CPC (Certified Procedure Coder) required. Supervisory experience preferred. 

3 years experience in patient accounts and billing for medical or hospital practice. Knowledge of CDMs, coding and billing. • Five years office experience in a health care setting. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional and database management skills • Proven ability to oversee service line financial needs, budgets, and action plans

CPC (Certified Procedure Coder) 

Bachelors degree in business or equivalent required or completed within the first year.
