Summary:

The Clinical Educator is responsible for assisting in coordination, providing care and education to our patients. Works comfortably in a multidisciplinary environment. Practices and promotes patient centered collaborative care. Evaluates and adjusts strategies to promote overall effectiveness and patient satisfaction. Participates in service line meetings as designated. Promotes nursing and team values in patient assessment and care management. Must seek ONS Breast Nurse Certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities:

Strong assessment, organizational, communication and teaching skills. Maintains and practices calm and compassionate patient care. Exhibits a current knowledge of service line and participates in continuing education. Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and / or protocol when involved or observed. May perform other duties upon request.

Credentials Essential:  Registered Nurse

Education:  Bachelor’s degree

Working conditions Essential; assisting with moving and supporting patient and loading 30 – 50 pounds
