Summary:
This is an operational and staff management position accountable for the quality, efficiency, performance and management of the Northern Light Health Supply Chain Procurement team. The Manager of Procurement will develop an environment and process that ensures the strategic procurement of goods, services and capital equipment (collectively “materiel”) in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Manager of Procurement facilitates productive workflow processes, establishes outstanding customer service expectations, and assists in the establishment of strategic direction for the department. She/he will prepare service level metrics in efforts to increase operational and transactional efficiencies. Through continuous communication ensures that procurement staff is up to date on the latest policies, procedures, product changes and contracting initiatives. Acts as Infor ERP system subject matter expert for others relative to procurement and requester functionality. Proactively collaborates with other supply chain areas and accounts payable to optimize the order-to-pay process and develop efficient process flows. The Manager is accountable for implementing a seamless, customer-focused process for procuring the right material at the right price and at the right time to meet patient care needs. The success of the procurement team requires leadership over significant/complex functions dependent upon strong business alignment within the procurement team and across Supply Chain.

Education and Experience Requirement:

Knowledge of contemporary business practices acquired through graduation from a four-year college/university or equivalent relevant business experience

4 years of supervisory experience in healthcare purchasing, supply chain management or equivalent required
