Patient Health Info. Associate #64869
The Patient Health Information Associate is responsible for timely and efficient processing of patient information which includes patient/customer service, chart completion analysis for both the physical and electronic record, retrieving/filing/processing of reports, records and films, chart and film location, and assisting physicians/providers with patient record completion.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
· Medical terminology course required or completion within 8 months of date of hire
· Associates degree in Health Information Technology or other technical college education or the equivalent in work experience and continuing education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Prior experience working with Microsoft Office Professional and database management skills
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Two years office experience in a health care setting
