JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst will report and evaluate data elements from various sources for Beacon Health, NLH, and their members. The Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst is responsible for:
•Assisting in the development of quality reporting processes that support all quality programs – financial risk and reputation
•Assisting in standardizing data extraction for all NLH members
•Providing detailed and high-level problem solving, database development and management, data extraction, and reporting.
•Providing focused analysis and reporting using benchmarking, trending, opportunity analysis, and predictive modeling
•Designing actionable visuals and presenting findings that inform clinical and operational decision making
•Proactively identifies data anomalies and opportunities to enhance data management and reporting
The Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst reports directly to the Clinical Quality Reporting Manager. The Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst will work closely with Data Management, Quality Program and Quality Assurance peers to ensure accurate data capture and reporting of all necessary quality elements. For Beacon Health functions, the Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst will work closely with both NLH and non-NLH members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Captures and manages data from a variety of sources; transforms data to provide insight and actionable recommendations
Develops and implements algorithms that calculate performance based on contractual or program requirements
Applies appropriate test to analytical results to provide high quality and accurate results
Researches and reviews quality benchmarking data for comparison, identifies greatest opportunity for intervention
Provides technical, analytical, and business guidance to other team members and leadership
Develops innovative approaches and ideas; presents data, ideas, and information in a manner that gets others' attention
Collaborates with system IT and programming experts as appropriate
Maintains accurate databases and collaborates with team members to correct errors immediately when identified
Tracks, meets, and reports data submission deadlines as appropriate for work assignments
Knows and follows organizational and departmental policies and procedures applicable to assigned duties
Participates in required organizational and departmental patient safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational patient safety
Reports serious events and incidents in accordance with established hospital policy and procedure
Performs other duties as delegated by management for which the employee is qualified
to perform
Demonstrates self-motivation with an ability to work independently, prioritize needs, pay attention to detail, organize complex processes, think creatively, and interact in a professional manner
Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with members, physicians, other medical disciplines and management staff
 
REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree
•5 years' experience data analytics and reporting e.g. Sequel database, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.
•Experience with statistical analysis.
•Understanding of the health care delivery setting
•Must have knowledge of the following software: Database, Project Management, Workflow Management, Microsoft Excel and Word
•Clinical experience preferred
EDUCATION and TRAINING:
•Work is typically performed in an office environment. Independent travel to various sites required.
•Sound analytical and problem-solving techniques with ability to prioritize problems and demonstrate resourcefulness in their resolution.
•Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
•Excellent active listening skills
•Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
