Responsible for the development, management and implementation of marketing programs and strategies to achieve property goals and objectives. This position works closely with Director of Marketing to develop monthly marketing calendar for all property promotions and special events through use of appropriate analysis to determine program effectiveness to maximize revenue.
Responsibilities include creating and executing marketing promotions, special events, entertainment, social media posts, and retail gift shop.  Works with other departments, in-house design team, direct mail manager and external vendors and entertainers to coordinate all programs. Requires strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and have a keen eye for detail.

Delivers Marquee Service by dealing up ACESAcknowledge the guest with a friendly greeting.  Convey an upbeat and positive attitude.  Engage the guest and anticipate the guest’s needs. Show appreciation for the business and offer a warm farewell. 



  • Manages day to day responsibilities related to marketing promotions, special events, entertainment, social media, and retail gift shop.

  • Works closely with Director of Marketing to develop monthly marketing calendar for all property promotions and special events through use of appropriate analysis to determine program effectiveness to maximize revenue

  • Develops and submits all rules and regulations for promotions in accordance with Maine Gaming Control Board guidelines and timelines

  • Program ACSC and/or MGT for all drawings and kiosk promotions according to guidelines

  • Achieves desired results through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high-quality service.  Then, monitors results through inspection, evaluation and analysis.  Makes changes if necessary to achieve results.

  • Lead departments through active participation 

  • Management accountability for all team members for day to day and long-term operations to include hiring, training and developing employees which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation

  • Responsible for staffing and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business demands  

  • Ensures appropriate IT resources are available to run programs 

  • Manages outside agencies including necessary contract approvals to ensure timely and precise program execution 

  • Familiarization with all company Brand programs and systems

  • Develop, track, monitor, and communicates allocation of promotions, events, entertainment and social media budgets in compliance with established marketing department guidelines, and to ensure the achievement of property plan objectives

  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures including Code of Commitment

  • Presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the same

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Marketing Support Staff, Retail Staff



  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university preferred

  • Two years progressively more challenging role in marketing, promotions or events preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Ability to understand and analyze Budget & P&L Statements

  • Proven managerial and critical thinking skills required

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English

  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required

  • Measurable objectives as defined on annual Performance appraisal

  • Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operations

  • Financial results that meet or exceed budget expectations for revenue generation and cost control

  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements

  • Development of team to include completion of all required training and knowledge of all policies and procedures relating to their positions

Familiarity with standards, concepts, practices and procedures within gaming is desired.  Must have familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access and Word. Minimum age of 21.  A four-year post-secondary degree or equivalent experience, or combination of both.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as promotional and advertising literature, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Familiarity of the following:
Power Point
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must qualify for licensing with the Maine Gaming/Racing Commission.
