Bangor, Maine, August 20, 2020: Seven attorneys from Rudman Winchell were recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2021. Best Lawyers utilizes the consensus of leading community lawyers regarding the professional abilities of their colleagues. Thus, the recognition Rudman Winchell received is based entirely on peer-review feedback. An additional, two attorneys, Joshua A. Randlett and Michael A. Hockenbury have been recognized in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, which recognizes attorneys, who have practiced for under 10 years, for their outstanding professional excellence.

Joshua A. Randlett, partner at Rudman Winchell, received a 2021 Best Lawyers: One to Watch recognition for Labor and Employment Law – Management. Randlett currently serves as the chair of the firm’s litigation practice group, and his practice focuses mainly on advising and representing businesses in employment and personnel-related matters.

Additionally, associate attorney Michael A. Hockenbury received a 2021 Best Lawyers: One to Watch recognition for Criminal Defense: General Practice. As a litigator, Hockenbury specializes in contract dispute, personal injury, and OUI’s.

Serving the Maine community has been an integral part of Rudman Winchell’s history since 1917. Attorneys and staff from the firm serve on over 50 boards within the community. Every month, the firm selects a community nonprofit to support. Some of examples of initiatives the firm has taken in the past includes giving backpacks to children in need, donating to local events and organizations, serving food at the homeless shelter, walking for Alzheimer’s, collecting pet food, and planting a garden in downtown Bangor.

Additionally, in March 2020, Attorney Anne-Marie Storey, who is being recognized as a 2021 Best Lawyer partnered with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce to address community questions regarding employment legislation relevant to COVID-19 via Zoom and Facebook live. This bi-weekly Q&A session has been viewed each week by hundreds of Mainers and thousands of questions have been asked and answered since the pandemic began.
