The Salvation Army has been serving the residents of Bangor area since 1886. Our multitude of Social Service programs, such as our daily Soup Kitchen, food pantry, heating and rental assistance, clothing and furniture vouchers, Back-to-School supplies program, and Christmas assistance have impacted thousands of our community's most vulnerable members. Our two Family Store locations provide opportunities for residents and businesses to donate used but good condition items which are sold to raise funds supporting our Social Service programs. This vital fundraising keeps our many programs running throughout the year. We are always looking for donations and can pick up large items or bulk donations. Our church is located at our 65 South Park Street location and services are held every Sunday with Sunday school for all ages beginning at 9:45am followed by Worship Service at 11am. Weekly youth programs, Bible study, free exercise and music classes are a part of our active church family schedule. Each summer, over 75 area youth are able to spend a week at beautiful Camp Sebago in Standish, ME through our campership programs.
